- Seth Rorabaugh: Penguins coach Mike Johnston said that Derrick Pouliot is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Nic Spaling missed practice with a lower-body injury, but is expected to play tomorrow.
- Matthew Sekeres: Looking like Ryan Miller will at least back up after Jacob Markstrom’s bags are packed and he’s left Rogers arena.
- Mark Lazerus: Blackhawks Patrick Kane didn’t travel with the team to St. Louis.
- Darren Dreger: The Maple Leafs will recall Colton Orr. He’s in the last year of his contract and could be contemplating retirement.
- Stephen Whyno: The Predators sign Steve Moses to a one-year deal worth $1 million.
- Renaud Lavoie: Jimmy Howard will start in net for the Red Wings, Carey Price for the Canadiens.
- Adam Kimelman: Cam Ward will start in net for the Hurricanes.
