- Uptown Sports: Free agent goalie Matt O’Connor will announce the team he is signing with this afternoon.
- George Sipple of the Detroit Free Press: Jonas Gustavsson likely won’t be back with the Red Wings next season, and he has no idea where he might end up next year.

- Tom Gulitti: (answering questions) The Devils can receive compensation if former coach Peter DeBoer is hired by another team, though they can waive it to get out from under the contract.

- Tim Riday of CSN Philly: The Flyers could look at packaging their first round pick (No. 7) and the pick they acquired from Tampa Bay to move up in the draft. They could even look to move down. It’s likely though that they’ll stay put. Riday names seven players the Flyers should be interested in: Mikko Rantanen, Ivan Provorov, Mathew Barzal, Lawson Crouse, Zach Werenski, Pavel Zacha and Timo Meier.
- CSN Philly: Flyers GM Ron Hextall on their coaching search.
“We’re in the middle of it,” Hextall said of the Flyers’ coaching search. “We’re doing our due diligence, doing our homework and we’ll get there at some point here, but I have no predictions on when or who or where.”
Jakub Voracek is entering the final season of his four year deal that carries a $4.25 million cap hit. He’s eligible to sign a contract extension after July 1st.
“We’ll get to work on it,” Hextall said. “We’d like to keep Jake as part of the future here and certainly a building block and a core player.
“We’ve got other things going on right now, but when the time comes, we’ll get busy and hopefully get Jake signed.”
