“For sure,” agreed Flames head coach Bob Hartley. “This is that time of the year for 30 teams. Especially players that are UFAs at the end of the season. For sure, it plays in their mind. But that’s why we’re pros. You have to be able to deal with what’s good for you and what’s bad for you. The best thing with this is that there’s games almost every two days.
“So, hey, put your focus on the game and let the other stuff play out.”
Flames pending UFAs: Curtis Glencross, Devin Setoguchi, Brian McGrattan, Corey Potter and Karri Ramo.
- Dean Bolberg: The Flames asked Curtis Glencross for a list of team, and he may have asked to be traded. He may have played his last game with the Flames. Elliotte Friedman was on the show and said that his initial list of teams was small, but that he expanded it to get a deal done.
- Bob McKenzie: Canadiens Alexei Emelin will be back before the playoffs, so there may not be any extra pressure on the Canadiens to make a trade. The Canadiens had been looking for a defenseman before Emelin was injured.
