- Chris Johnston: Was told last week that the odds of Daniel Alfredsson returning were 50/50. Not a good sign that he’s stopped skating. Darren Dreger: Alfredsson is having trouble regaining full strength. He is skating offsite, but decision will be made soon if things don’t improve.
- Gregg Krupa: Bob McKenzie said that Red Wings GM Ken Holland and head coach Mike Babcock have exchanged numbers and it’s interesting that they don’t have a deal. As more time goes by, the more time that Babcock has to figure out what Red Wings will be in the future.
