Question is, does Maloney deal him tomorrow or wait until the offseaosn. If Maloney waits until the offseason, he could find the money to re-sign him. There are a lot of moving parts.
Darren Dreger: The Oilers are getting calls on captain Andrew Ference. Ference has a no-movement clause and hasn’t been asked to yet.
Daivd Pagnotta: Was told last night that the Bruins had multiple trades that had been agreed too. Heard the same thing again this morning.
Alex Prewitt: Craig Custance reported earlier that teams have “significant interested” in Erik Cole. Have been told that the Capitals have been one of the teams discussing. Craig Custance: The Capitals are one of the teams he’d accept a trade too.
David Pagnotta: The Hurricanes continue to look for a trade partner for Alexander Semin. Reported earlier this week that they are willing to eat a “significant portion” of his salary.
David Pagnotta: The Kings are still exploring trade options, but the general sense as of last night was that they are finished. They could explore a depth forward.
David Pagnotta: The Kings and Maple Leafs continued their talks about Dion Phaneuf up until the Kings traded for Andrej Sekera. Trade talks on the backburner until the summer, unless he’s dealt beforehand.
