On the Maple Leafs …
- Damien Cox of Sportsnet: Pending free agent, James Reimer has increased his value to the Maple Leafs with his play in the past month. It seems unlikely that they will re-sign him. Jonathan Bernier has a year left on his contract, and only one win in his past 18 starts. The Leafs could trade Reimer at the deadline.
- Joffrey Lupul has two years left on his contract with a $5.25 million cap hit, but with a $3.75 million salary in the second year. If he can keep up this scoring pace and remain healthy, he could become a commodity at the deadline.

- Frank Seravalli of TSN: The Avalanche are believed to be taking offers on Semyon Varlamov.

- Tom Gulitti of The Record: The 39-year old Patrik Elias is in the last year of his deal with the Devils. It is possible that this could be his last year with the Devils, or even in the NHL.
“I hope not,” he said. “You never know, obviously, but I hope not. I’m enjoying watching these guys and I’m enjoying seeing the approach to the game now, the changes, the quickness, the way the young guys have stepped in and I want to be part of it. So, I hope not. I’ll do my best to do what I can do and we’ll see at the end.”
