There could be market for him as he’s only 21-years old. Damian Brunner and his $2.5 million salary could be the first to go.
The Blue Jackets are saying Nathan Hortan will be shut down indefinitely and there is major concern on when he would be able to return.
The Oilers, Stars, Red Wings, Panthers, Lightning, Flames and Sharks are all looking for a defenseman. There is talk that Flyers Luke Schenn and Nicklas Grossman are available.
The further the Hurricanes drop, the higher the possibility the Eric Staal is moved. That is if he wants to go.

Flames defenesman Dennis Wideman’s name is out there, but he has three-years left at $5.25 million and has a no-movement clause.
