- Luke Fox of Sportsnet: Tyler Bozak on if he thinks he’ll be traded.
“I have no idea. I don’t really look into it. I don’t read anything about it,” the centre said, after the Maple Leafs’ 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.
“I’m just going to go out and play, and hopefully I stay here. But if things change, then I guess I’ll move on to that chapter in my life.”
- Michael Russo of the Star Tribune: The Wild may look to add a depth defenseman. Sources saying they could be interested in Blue Jackets Jordan Leopold. The left-handed Leopold would bring them some added experience. The Blue Jackets had acquired him earlier in the season for 5th round pick, so it would only cost the Wild a mid-round pick. Other available defensemen include Zbynek Michalek, Tim Gleason, Andrej Meszaros and Jan Hejda.
- Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: Some players the Bruins are thought to be interested in, and what it might cost.Antoine Vermette and Keith Yandle
Moving both Yandle and Vermette is going to require the Bruins to trade roster players such as – potentially — Krug (as the left side/power-play replacement for Yandle) and perhaps Loui Eriksson to make it happen, but that – plus a second round pick and a prospect like Spooner — could also keep them from potentially parting with their first round pick.
Chris Stewart – most likely target for the Bruins. Malcolm Subban was never entertained, and should cross Ryan Spooner off the list with Krejci’s injury. He shouldn’t command a first round pick. The Sabres should retain some salary. It shouldn’t cost the Bruins any more than a 2nd round pick and maybe a future 3rd/4th round pick.
Jordan Eberle – likely an offseason trade for the Oilers. The Bruins would likely have to give up Milan Lucic or Dougie Hamilton, a goalie prospect like Malcolm Subban and a combination of some other assets.
Erik Cole – a second round pick and an extra pick or prospect.
Marek Zidlicky – maybe a Zidlicky and Michael Ryder package. Zidlicky could be in the Andrej Sekera price tag range.
Curtis Glencross – could cost a second and third round pick.
Michael Ryder– should be extremley cheap.
Joffrey Lupul – hard to see cap-strapped team take on three-years at a $5.25 million cap hit. Could be a nice fit with Krejci though.
Jeff Petry – sources saying the Oilers only want a “solid second-round pick.”
