NHL free agency is a ways away, but here is a look the left wingers that could be hitting the open market in July 1st as NHL free agents.
There are a couple free agent left wingers that could be moved at the trade deadline if they are not re-signed soon.
Contract talks between the Winnipeg Jets and Andrew Ladd are said to have gone quiet, with a trade more than likely to happen between now and the trade deadline.
Mikkel Boedker is another winger that could cash in, with the Arizona Coyotes or someone else on July 1st. The Coyotes and Boeker’s camp are talking, but if an extension isn’t in place by the deadline, it would hard for the Coyotes to keep him and potentially lose him for nothing this offseason.
After the LA Kings locked up Anze Kopitar earlier this year, they are said to be turning their attention to Milan Lucic.
