- David Pollak: Sharks Thomas Hertl didn’t return for the third period after colliding with Senators Clarke MacArthur as he was “under evaluation.” Sharks coach Todd McLellan said that Hertl was held out more as a precaution than anything else, and could play in St. Louis on Tuesday night.
- Tom Gulitti: Devils Ryan Carter and his upper-body injury did not practice yesterday.
