On the Boston Bruins …

  • Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: The Bruins are still negotiating with Loui Eriksson. The Bruins have moved up to four years and offering between $20 and $24 million. That is still short of the five or six years he could get on the open market.A number of Western Conference teams are interested.

One source saying the asking price for Eriksson for the Blues is Dmitrij Jaskin and a first round pick.

Blues GM Doug Armstrong was running the Stars when they drafted Eriksson.

On the Toronto Maple Leafs …

  • Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun: Simmons wonders if Joffrey Lupul has played his last game with the Maple Leafs. The Leafs won’t buy out the remaining $9 million. He was shut down for the season last week, and may be  they give him the Stephane Robidas “nudge, nudge, wink” treatment. Robidas is still on the Leafs roster, but is nowhere to be found.

On the Montreal Canadiens …

  • Brian Wilde: Don’t think the Canadiens are done trading. After indirectly hearing Marc Bergevin’s thoughts on the season after last night’s game, have more confidence in him.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

  • Dave Isaac: Mark Streit has a limited no-trade clause. Streit provides a list of 10 teams that he’d accept a trade to. Don’t think that the Flyers have asked for the list.

On the New Jersey Devils …

  • Tom Gulitti: The Devils have scouted the Oilers more than once last week. Maybe there is something there.

On the Minnesota Wild …

  • Michael Russo: Wild GM Chuck Fletcher isn’t a big fan of the rental market. He could look at making a ‘hockey’ trade. Some think that he’s talked to the Oilers about Nail Yakupov or Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (injured). Last month he was interested in Jonathan Drouin.

“I still maintain our team is talented enough to make the playoffs whether we add a player or not,” Fletcher said Thursday, adding, “We’re not looking to sell. We expect to make the playoffs.”
