On the Anaheim Ducks …

Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Goaltender John Gibson tried to stay in the game after being hit by a Patrice Bergeron shot in the third period, but he had to leave early.

“But, again, it’s a wise thing to do to make sure you’re 100 percent before you go back in. He felt he wasn’t that way, so we’ve got Ryan Miller. And Ryan Miller’s done the job.”

Gibson left with 7:20 left in the third.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Craig Morgan: Forward Brad Richardson wouldn’t get into his upper-body injury, but he went from week-to-week to possibly playing tomorrow. Defenseman Jason Demers is still day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

On the Calgary Flames …

Calgary Flames: The Flames activated forward Michael Frolik from the IR.

John Boruk: The Flames put goaltender Brian Elliott on the IR and recalled Alex Lyon.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Marc Moser: Forward Nathan MacKinnon left last night’s game early with an upper-body injury.

Adrian Dater: Coach Jared Bednar said after the game they didn’t have a prognosis on MacKinnon’s injury. is hearing that it’s a left shoulder injury.

Jesse Montano: Looked like it could be a shoulder injury for MacKinnon.

Adrian Dater: Defenseman Tyson Barrie returned to the lineup last night.

Adrian Dater: Forward Matt Nieto suffered a lower-body injury during the Avs morning skate.

On the Dallas Stars …

NHLPA: Stars defenseman Dan Hamhuis played in his 1,000th game last night.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Kevin Kurz: The Sharks recalled center Danny O’Regan.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Ken Wiebe: The Jets recalled goaltender Michael Hutchinson and reassigned goaltender Eric Comrie. The Jets put defenseman Jacob Trouba on the IR and activated forward Adam Lowry from the IR.

Ken Wiebe: Defenseman Dmitry Kulikov practiced yesterday in a no-contact jersey.
