Jones out four to six weeks
Blue Jackets PR: The Columbus Blue Jackets will be without defenseman Seth Jones for four to six weeks with a knee injury. Jones had an MRI yesterday that showed a second degree MCL sprain.
Ducks lose Perry for five months
Anaheim Ducks: The Anaheim Ducks announced that forward Corey Perry had surgery to repair meniscus and MCL injuries and will be out for about five months.
Eric Stephens: The surgery was performed on his right knee. He’s had prior issues with the knee. Ducks GM Murray is hopeful Perry would be able to return by the trade deadline.
Bergeron should be ready for their season opener
Joe Haggerty: The Boston Bruins are hopeful that forward Patrice Bergeron (back spasms/groin surgery) will be able to practice with the main group on Friday. Coach Bruce Cassidy said that he’s still on track to be able to play in their season opener.
Schultz listed as day-to-day
Jonathan Bombulie: Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said that Justin Schultz is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. The injury is not believed to be serious.
Elliott almost where he wants to be
Sam Carchidi: Philadelphia Flyers GM Ron Hextall said that Brian Elliott isn’t quite where he’d like to be but thinks he’ll be there by their season opener.
Bogosian dealing with lower-body issue
Joe Yerdon: Buffalo Sabres coach Phil Housley said that defenseman Zach Bogosian will be day-to-day with a lower-body issue.
Joe Yerdon: Bogosian’s issue is not related to his offseason hip surgery. Forward Conor Sheary has been day-to-day and could be able to join practice today.
Red Wings could be missing four defensemen for their season opener
Ansar Khan: Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Flashill said that Danny DeKeyser, Jonathan Ericsson, and Trevor Daley all have short-term injuries and are questionable for their season opener. Defenseman Mike Green will miss the start of their season.
Beleskey out with a separated shoulder
Colin Stephenson: New York Rangers forward Matt Beleskey will be out for two to four weeks with a shoulder separation.

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers MacKenzie Weegar is dealing with a shoulder injury and is listed as day-to-day.
Galchenyuk out week-to-week
Dave Vest of NHL.com: Arizona Coyotes forward Alex Galchenyuk will miss the start of the season with a lower-body injury according to GM John Chayka.
“Right now it’s just week to week,” Chayka told Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, the team’s flagship radio station. “He had something we needed to get addressed and we’ve done that. Now, the next step is just getting him back on the ice skating by himself … Some guys take longer. Some guys take shorter. I’m not sure exactly where it will land, but the good news is we don’t view it as a long-term injury and we hope to have him back as soon as possible.”
