Injured Bruins but some positive with Pastrnak
Boston Bruins: Coach Bruce Cassidy said that Jake DeBrusk is out this weekend and it hasn’t been determined if he’ll travel with the team on their road trip.
Forwards David Pastrnak and Marcus Johansson, and defenseman Kevan Miller won’t travel with the team on their road trip.
Amalie Benjamin: DeBrusk was wearing a walking boot on his left foot last night around the arena.
Mike Loftus: Before the Bruins morning skate yesterday forward David Pastrnak was on the ice doing his stickhandling. Pastrnak is recovering from thumb surgery.
Neal progressing
Derek Wills: Calgary Flames forward James Neal is getting closer to returning. He was on the ice yesterday and is expected to skate again today. Coach Bill Peters said he expects Neal to be ready for the playoffs.
Tarasenko out
Jeremy Rutherford: St. Louis Blues coach Craig Berube on Vladimir Tarasenko: “He’s day-to-day right now, that’s all I know. It’s part of the game.”
Injured Canucks update
Vancouver Canucks: Forward Jake Virtanen returned to the lineup last night. Defenseman Chris Tanev is getting closer to returning according to coach Travis Green.
Irfaan Gaffar: Virtanen said that the Ryan Getzlaf hit broke two of his ribs.
Jeff Paterson: There was no update on defenseman Ben Hutton who remains day-to-day. The Canucks won’t say if he suffered any structural damage to his foot.
Ben Kuzma: Forward Sven Baertschi (concussion symptoms) was on the ice yesterday before the teams morning skate.
