Craig Morgan: Arizona Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said that defenseman Alex Goligoski was given a maintenance day yesterday.
Denver Post: Colorado Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson was on the ice and his upper-body injury is progressing.
Ryan S. Clark: Avs coach Jared Bednar said that Cale Makar worked out off-ice yesterday but didn’t skate. Today is a mandated off day. He’ll resume activity on Sunday.
Detroit Red Wings: Coach Jeff Blashill thinks that both Anthony Mantha anyesterday d Andreas Athanasiou will be in the lineups tonight against the Canadiens.
Helene St. James: Red Wings Mantha feels that he’s ready to go tonight. He’s been cleared by doctors already, just needing clearance from GM Steve Yzerman.
John Lu: Montreal Canadiens coach Claude Julien said they will make a decision today if defenseman Victor Mete (ankle) and/or forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi (concussion) will travel with the team on their road trip next week. Both Mete and Kotkaniemi were on the ice yesterday before practice.
Sarah McLellan: Minnesota Wild coach Bruce Boudreau said that goaltender Devan Dubnyk is expected to travel with the team on their road trip. Defenseman Jared Spurgeon and forward Mikko Koivu are going on the trip.

St. Louis Blues: Defenseman Carl Gunnarsson was put on the IR with an upper-body injury and defenseman Niko Mikkola was recalled.
Kristen Shilton: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Trevor Moore was taking part in regular line rushes at practice yesterday and forward Nic Petan was loaned to the Toronto Marlies. Coach Sheldon Keefe that Moore’s status for tonight’s game would be confirmed today.
