update: Nick Kypreos via twitter: Latest update he’s received is that Pavelec is conscious and vitals appear normal now. Darren Dreger reports that GM Rick Dudley told AP the Pavelec is awake and in stable condition.
TSN: Atlanta Thrashers goalie Ondrej Pavelec collapsed just over 2 minutes into the first period in a game against the Washington Capitals. The play was in the other end when the incident happened.
Play was delay for about 20 minutes, medical personal worked on Pavelec for around 10 minutes before he was taken off on a stretcher.
