10:53 PM

  • Joe Haggerty: “No announcement for tonight re: Jarome Iginla and the Bruins. Would imagine there’s still some things in Calgary that need taking care of.”

10:48 PM

  • Renaud Lavoie: “Confirmation that their is no deal in place as we speak between Calgary-Boston for Jarome Iginla. No announcement tonight from Bruins.”
  • Nick Cotsonika: “Again, total speculation: I wonder if a trade is in place but they’re working on an extension.”

10:25 PM

  • Bob McKenzie: “This comes with usual “anything can happen” qualifier but multiple sources saying not to expect a Jarome Iginla trade tonight.”

9:22 PM

  • Dan Tencer: Bob McKenzie on TSN just said that Bartkowski, Khoklachev and a 1st for Iginla is imminent according to a source close to the Bruins. NOT confirmed.
  • Elliotte Friedman: Hearing the same Khokhlachev, Bartkowski and a 1st.

9:16 PM

  • Gary Lawless: Lawless is hearing the Kings are out of the Iginla sweepstakes.
  • Dennis Bernstein: For those that are still thinking the Kings are in the Iginla hunt, Tanner Pearson is playing in Manchester tonight. Leads Bernstein to believe it’s all Boston at the moment.

9:00 PM

  • Spector’s Hockey: Richardson thinks that if Iginla is dealt to the Bruins tonight, it won’t be until have the game if any Bruins roster players are in part of the deal.
  • Dennis Bernstein: A league executive regarding Bruins prospects going to Calgary in a potential deal: “Not sure anyone behind Hamilton is worth it” (obviously Dougie not in deal)
  • Jim Matheson: Matheson still thinks that the Kings will bend and include Bernier in a deal for Iginla. They’d go calling the Oilers for Khabibulin to back up Quick.

8:40 PM

  • Calgary Flames:  Statement:

The Calgary Flames announce that Jarome Iginla will be a healthy scratch from the line-up for tonight’s game versus the Colorado Avalanche.

No further information will be provided at this time.

  • Bob McKenzie: “At no time during Iginla trade talks have I gotten sense contract extension had to be incl, but I believe BOS would find a way if necessary.”
  • Bob McKenzie: Rumors today in Boston were that Jordan Caron and Matt Bartkowski were perhaps on their way out. Caron is in the lineup tonight but Bartkowski was scratched.
  • Bob McKenzie:  Bruins prospect Alex Khokhlachev is a healthy scratch for Providence of the AHL.
  • John Shannon: Everyone is looking at Boston, but other teams are in the bidding. Hearing that LA is making a push.
  • Bob McKenzie: It shouldn’t be a surprise that the Bruins and Calgary are deep in talks, but the Flames could be using it as leverage against the Penguins, Blackhawks and Kings.
  • Darren Dreger: The Bruins and Flames were talking assets last night, and had planned on resuming today.
  • Nick Kypreos: Bruins remain heavy favors on Iginla.
