  • Pierre LeBrun via twitter: LeBrun doesn’t think that the Bruins have interest in Jarome Iginla.
  • Will DePaoli via twitter: The Penguins don’t have an interest in Ryan O’Reilly and with the possibility of moving him to the wing for their top-6.
  • James Mirtle via twitter: The Maple Leafs will call up Jussi Rynnas to backup Ben Scrivens and the Marlies acquired Drew MacIntrye on loan. They won’t pull off a trade while James Reimer is out for the week he’s expected to miss. Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun: If Scrivens falters, and if Reimer is out long-term, Kosham lists potential goalies the Leafs could go after. Trading for Jonathan Bernier (LA), Jonas Hiller (ANA) or Nikolai Khabibulin (EDM). Free agent options are Brent Johnson and Ty Conklin. Roberto Luongo is highly unlikely due to the asking price of Nazem Kadri and/or Tyler Bozak.
  • Pierre LeBrun of ESPN: The NHL’s realignment plan may be known in the next couple weeks.

“The last two weeks we’ve been in constant communication with the NHLPA on realignment issues,” deputy commissioner Bill Daly told ESPN.com Tuesday. “We’ve been exchanging information and we’re trying to get to a resolution as soon as possible.”

They will meet again to discuss realignment next week, with the possibility of putting it to vote in the week of Feb. 25th. LeBrun thinks there are a couple teams moving around from the December 2011 proposal that is listed below.
