- Will DePaoli: The Red Wings interest in Jarome Iginla is just preliminary at this point as they are a finalist for Daniel Alfredsson.
- Sam Carchidi via sulia: Carchidi thinks that the Flyers should pass on left winger Simon Gagne and go after Viktor Stalberg. Would be perfect on a line with Sean Couturier and Matt Read.
- Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun: Five possible targets for the Jets: Clarke MacArthur, Damien Brunner, Viktor Stalberg, Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Nathan Gerbe.
