- Dave Stubbs via twitter: Negotiations between P.K. Subban’s agent, Don Meehan, and Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin were ongoing yesterday. Meehan will keep Subban in the loop for the next 24-48 hours when there is something concrete. Subban said that he won’t be at the Canadiens medicals . - Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News: Rangers Michael Del Zotto may be looking for a contract in the $2.3 to $2.5 million range.
- The Fourth Period: It is believed that the Ducks may have to trade one of Ryan Getzlaf or Corey Perry if the Ducks are not in a playoff run by the trade deadline. Both will be UFA’s at the end of the season. Perry has expressed his interest in remaining in Anaheim, but contract talks haven’t started yet. One of Perry’s agents, Mark Guy, doesn’t expect to have any talks until after the season starts. Perry could sign up to an 8 year deal with Anaheim, and could look for a salary in the $7 million range.
