- The Los Angeles Kings trade defenseman Tom Gilbert to the Washington Capitals for a conditional 5th round draft pick. Condition is if Gilbert plays in 50 percent of their playoff games and if they win two rounds. The Kings will retain 20 percent of his Gilbert’s salary.
