  • Michael Russo of the Star-Tribune: (I’ll post a few notes/quotes, but you should read the entire article) 28 year old Josh Harding has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He and his family have known for a month, but only yesterday did he start telling friends and Wild teammates.

“I don’t look at this like I’ve got to take a new path,” said Harding, drafted 10 years ago by the Wild and months off signing a new three-year contract. “This is a little bump in the road. I’ve had lots in life.”

“I had a couple days where I felt bad for myself, but no more,” said Harding, who plans on continuing his career. “There’s things in life that happen. Sometimes you can’t explain it. You deal with it.”

He has made it clear that this will not end his career.

“There’s going to be some good days and bad days, but I think if you talk to anybody in life, there’s going to be some good days and bad days,” Harding said.

  • Dan Rosen via twitter: Devils Adam Henrique injured his ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. He will have surgery today and will about 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Pierre LeBrun via twitter: Flyers Claude Giroux saw the doctor in Atlanta yesterday. He’s been in Atlanta for the last three days getting treatment.
  • Pierre LeBrun via twitter: Canucks Cory Schneider’s deal with Ambri Piotta of the Swiss league goes through December according to his agent, Mike Liut.
