  • Mark Lazerus of Chicago Sun-Times: Blackhawks Marian Hossa was a late scratch last night with an upper-body injury according to coach Joel Quenneville.

‘‘Hoss was close to playing,’’ he said. ‘‘He tried to warm up. Hopefully he’s ready for the next game .’’

  • Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times: Coach Quenneville added that Patrick Sharp will “miss some time,” after leaving the game in the 3rd period holding his left arm. He was hit by Avs Ryan O’Byrne. Andrew Shaw didn’t return for the 3rd period after taking a hit to, or near to the head by Paul Stastny in the 2nd period. Quenneville said it’s “not too bad.”
  • Darren Dreger via twitter: Senators Jason Spezza rode the stationary bike before the game last night. Said that he has medical clearance to increase his workout routine a bit more.
