- Michael Grange via twitter: Confirms that the NHL and NHLPA will hold ‘informal talks’ today in New York. John Shannon via twitter: Today’s talks between the Fehr’s, Bettman and Daly will just be open dialogue, no proposals or agenda.
- Ken Warren via twitter: Senators GM Bryan Murray is not optimistic for a quick CBA resolution, and will ask Jared Cowen to play in the AHL. Mika Zibanejad will also end up in Binghamton and will be asked to play left wing.
