- Eric Stephens: Ducks Francois Beauchemin (ACL) was skating with the second group yesterday. Beauchemin skated in two of three sessions yesterday.
- Ben Raby: Capitals Brooks Laich left the ice yesterday with a lower body injury. Capitals saying it’s not related to the one that had sidelined him last season.
- Andrew Gross: Rangers Marc Staal said that his perception on the ice is greatly improved, both depth perception and sensing where players are.
- Jonas Siegel: Leafs Joffrey Lupul will be off the ice again today with a back issue.
