Injury Notes: Duchene, Semin, Lupul, Rinne, Gleason, Glass, Bennett, Parise, Neuvirth, Kobasew and Giordano
  • Adrian Dater via Sulia: Avs Matt Duchene won’t play tonight, but there is a good chance he can return from his oblique injury on Friday against the Wild.
  • Chip Alexander: Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford said that Alex Semin (concussion) could be back on the ice next week.
  • James Mirlte: Maple Leafs Joffrey Lupul has a Grade 2 groin strain. Coach Randy Carlyle said “it would take a miracle” for Lupul to play this weekend. Sounding like he could be out awhile. Jonas Siegel: Lupul won’t travel with the team on their upcoming trip. Brian Huddle: Huddle points out the Kings Jonathan Quick has a Grade 2 groin strain, and that it’s more long-term than short-term.
  • Nick Cole: Predators Pekka Rinne was expected to have his MRI this week but it has been rescheduled for Dec. 5th.
  • Chip Alexander: Hurricanes Tim Gleason will be out a week with a lower-body injury.
  • Rob Rossi: Penguins Tanner Glass has a broken hand and is out three to four weeks. Paul Martin has a lower-body injury and is out tonight.
  • ESPN: Wild’s Zach Parise will be out two to three weeks with a foot contusion. He bruised his left foot blocking a shot.
  • Adam Vingan: Capitals Michal Neuvirth (lower-body) practiced yesterday.
  • Shelly Anderson: Penguins Chuck Kobasew skated before practice yesterday.
  • Roger Millions: Flames Mark Giordano skated yesterday, shouldn’t be long.
