James Mirlte: Maple Leafs Joffrey Lupul has a Grade 2 groin strain. Coach Randy Carlyle said “it would take a miracle” for Lupul to play this weekend. Sounding like he could be out awhile. Jonas Siegel: Lupul won’t travel with the team on their upcoming trip. Brian Huddle: Huddle points out the Kings Jonathan Quick has a Grade 2 groin strain, and that it’s more long-term than short-term.
Nick Cole: Predators Pekka Rinne was expected to have his MRI this week but it has been rescheduled for Dec. 5th.
