  • Rich Chere: Devils Ilya Kovalchuk on playing Friday: “I don’t know. I’m going to decide with the doctors and coaches, but I don’t think so.”
  • Katie Strang: Rangers Marc Staal said that his peripheral vision is fine, but his eyesight is still a little blurry. He said he still needs to work on depth perception, reading plays, etc.
  • Bruce Garrioch: Senators Erik Karlsson didn’t skate yesterday and likely won’t for the rest of the week.
  • Joe Haggerty of CSNNE: Bruins Patrice Bergeron, out with a “moderate concussion” has started working out again.

    “I’ve met with Patrice. He’s been working out,” said Chiarelli. “He’s on his road to recovery, so it looks good.”

  • Paul Friesen: Jets defenseman Tobias Enstrom is questionable for tonight due to back problems.
  • Joanne Ireland: Oilers Ales Hemsky had an MRI yesterday on his foot. Everything was good and he returned to the lineup.
  • Sam Carchidi: Flyers defenseman Nicklas Grossman is out for the rest of the regular season.
  • Tim Panaccio: Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said that Daniel Briere is the only injured Flyer who “could’ play on Thursday.
  • Ian Mendes: If Senators Milan Michalek feels okay today, he could be in the lineup against the Flyers.
  • Joe Haggerty: Bruins Brad Marchand left last night’s game after taking an elbow to the head from Devils Anton Volchenkov.
  • Dan Murphy: Cory Schneider was a late scratch last night after coming down with the flu.
