  • Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News: Flyers Daniel Briere returned to practiced yesterday and was on a line with Brayden Schenn and Jake Voracek. Briere is still listed as “out indefinitely.”
  • David Ebner of the Globe and Mail: Canucks forward Daniel Sedin is “100 per cent,” according to his brother. Daniel took part in the teams practiced yesterday and looks to be good for Game 1.
  • Rich Hammond of the LA Kings Insider: Kings Jeff Carter practiced yesterday with the team in a regular jersey. He skated with 2nd line players. Craig MacEwen via twitter: Carter said his ankle feels good and he should be able to go for Game 1 against the Canucks.
  • Mike Brehm of USA Today: Blackhawks Jonathan Toews will decide Thursday morning if he’ll play in Game 1 or not.

    “I wouldn’t call them symptoms anymore,” Toews told the team’s website. “I think I’ll just work on conditioning and make sure I’m good to go and that I don’t get tired in a game.”

    Braden Holtby is expected to start Game 1 for the Capitals. Red Wings Darren Helm is expected to be back for Game 2.

  • Brian McNally via twitter: Capitals GM George McPhee said that Michal Neuvirth will try to skate at practice today. Tomas Vokoun hopes skate before the practice. Jesse Spector via twitter: The Capitals called up goalie Dany Sabourin yesterday.
  • Andy Strickland via twitter: Ken Hitchcock said he’ll announce their starting goalie on Thursday morning.
  • Damian Cristodero via twitter: Lightning GM Steve Yzerman said that Steven Stamkos was to have an MRI yesterday on his left shoulder. They don’t think it needs surgery.
  • Mike Harrington via twitter: Sabres defenseman Christian Ehrhoff said he had a sprained knee and that it won’t require surgery.
  • Will DePaoli via twitter: Steve Sullivan skated on a line with Sidney Crosby and Pascal Dupuis yesterday. Chris Kunitz, Evgeni Malkin and James Neal made up the 1st line.
  • Ian Mendes via twitter: Likely Senators lines: Greening-Spezza-Michalek. Foligno-Turris-Alfredsson. Smith-Winchester-Neil. Condra-O’Brien-Daugavins.
  • Mike Brophy via twitter: Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer said he didn’t have a concussion. Was told by a Montreal specialist that it is a neck issue.
