Injury notes on Hiller, Parise, Eriksson, Anderson, Drury and Osgood

Eric Stephens of the OC Register: Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller, out since the all-star break with symptoms of dizziness, has been feeling better and is taking limited shots from teammates. “I kind of want to definitely push but I guess I have to pace myself also a little bit, not to over-do it. It’s a little tough to pace myself when I feel better. Just mentally knowing that it’s going in the right direction is definitely a huge relief.”

Pierre LeBrun of ESPN: On Zach Parise,

“He’s right on course,” said Lamoriello. “He’s skating as we speak in fact. We’ll see where he’s at. He’s not cleared to practice yet with the team, but he’s doing things on his own with the coaching staff. There is no timetable at this point. It’ll be when everyone is in agreement that it’s the right time.”

Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: Stars winger Loui Eriksson is listed as day-to-day after a hit to the head, will be re-evaluated today, and is doubtful for tonight’s game. Steve Ott and Tomas Vincour, also receiving treatment for a hit to the head, are probable for tonight.

Ken Warren of the Ottawa Citizen: Senators goalie Craig Anderson missed practice yesterday with an undisclosed injury, and may not be able to start tonight. If not, Curtis McElhinney will make the start. Anderson’s injury occurred sometime during Tuesday’s game.

Jesse Spector of the NY Daily News: Rangers forward Chris Drury was initially expected to miss 6 weeks after knee surgery, which would be up next Friday, hasn’t even begun skating yet.

Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press: Red Wings goalie Chris Osgood was taken off the IR on Monday, but said yesterday morning that he is not ready to go yet. Joey MacDonald has been called up to backup Howard.
