- Bob McKenzie: X-rays/healing of bone will ultimately decide when Steven Stamkos can return. He’s hoping to start practicing the last week of January and playing in the first week of February.
- Helene St. James: Red Wings GM Ken Holland said that Stephen Weiss (groin) will be out until at least Christmas.
- David Alter: Maple Leafs Dave Bolland was at the ACC yesterday and he’s able to put weight on his foot.
- Sarah McLellan: Shane Doan was at the Coyotes game and talked with media during the second intermission. He is doing better but they are not sure what he is dealing with.
- Josh Yohe: Penguins Kris Letang was out last night with an upper-body injury. Josh Yohe: Letang last night on possibility of being out long-term: “We’ll see tomorrow. I don’t know what’s going on right now.”
- Helene St. James: Red Wings Justin Abdelkader left last night’s game after being hit in the jaw by Deryk Engelland.
- Josh Rimer: Jarome Iginla returned to the game after the below image.
