Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: the St. Louis Blues have avoided salary arbitration with left winger Jaden Schwartz. Their arbitration had been set for July 20th. The deal is for five years and just under $27 million.
General Fanager: Schwartz’s five year contract carries a $5.35 million cap hit. The deal has a modified no-trade clause in the final two years of the contract.
Cap Friendly: Schwartz’s modified no-trade clause is a 15 team no trade list in the final two years. Those years would have been unrestricted free agent years.
Jeremy Rutherford: The Blues signed goaltenders Jordan Binnington and Pheonix Copley to one-year, two-way contracts.

Cap Friendly: the Maple Leafs have signed RFA goalie Garret Sparks to a one-year, two-way deal with $575,000 in the NHL, $100,000 in the AHL, with $150,000 guaranteed.
