- Craig Custance via twitter: Custance was told that the Maple Leafs won’t make any exceptions to Burke’s holiday roster freeze to make a Turris trade.
- Craig Custance via twitter: The NHL has to approve any Turris trade, more for budgetary reasons.

- Craig Custance via twitter: Columbus could be another landing spot for Turris. The Red Wings are not in the mix.

- Pierre LeBrun via twitter: LeBrun doesn’t believe that the Canucks and Coyotes have talked much about Turris, but he’s sure the Canucks would listen if the Coyotes called.
- Josh Rimer via twitter: Rimer keeps hearing that the Panthers could be the front-runners. The Senators are a close 2nd if the Panthers don’t get Turris.
- Pierre LeBrun via twitter: The Panthers have shown interest in Turris but LeBrun senses the Panthers think the asking price is too high.
- Bruce Garrioch via twitter: The Senators have been interested in Turris since day 1, but it doesn’t sound like a deal will be made unless something changes.
