  • Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com: Marc Savard will undergo a physical exertion test in the next few days. He’s been doing low-intensity workouts, and has been making slow, steady progress. If/when he passes the test, it would be at least 4-6 before he’d return to the Bruins lineup.
  • Katie Strang via twitter: John Tavares felt good after yesterday’s skate, and skated again today.
  • Rob Longley via twitter: Jordan Staal skated today by himself, but don’t read into it too much, he’s still a-ways-away.
  • Joe Haggerty via twitter: Both Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara have no movement clauses in their deals.
  • Ted Kulfan of the Detroit News: Brian Rafalski is out 3-4 weeks after having surgery on his left knee.
  • Helene Elliot via twitter: Andres Lilja is unlikely to play with the Anaheim Ducks this weekend as he has to leave the US to get the proper visa/paperwork.
