  • Pierre LeBrun via twitter: A source wondered to LeBrun if the LA Kings found out that Sturm injury will keep him out longer than they originally thought (rumored to be 2-3 weeks away). Deal could be re-visited later. Rich Hammond via twitter: “Sturm’s medical history probably comes into play here.”
  • Rich Hammond via twitter: Alexei Ponikarovsky (broken finger) skated yesterday and could return to the Kings lineup next Thursday against the Flames. Willie Mitchell, out with a broken wrist, also skated yesterday.

  • Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch: Nikita Filatov has been scratched by the Columbus Blue Jackets for the last 3 games. “I understand everything about what the coach wants and what the coach says,” Filatov said. “Right now I agree with everything that’s going on.” He could get into a either tonight or tomorrow.
  • Adrian Dater of the Denver Post: Peter Mueller’s recovery from his concussion is not progressing as they had hoped. He hasn’t had any setbacks, but progression has been slow.
