The Boston Bruins signed power forward Milan Lucic to 3 year contract extension. According to Jay Gold, whoever that is, the deal is worth a reported $4 million per season.
Lucic recorded 136 PIMs, 17 goals, and 25 assists last season. I’m a fan of Lucic and love his style of play, but if Gold’s statement that it’s worth $4 mill per season, it’s a contract I don’t understand. It’s one of major issues that NHL faces, rewarding big contract to really young kids mainly based on potential. Lucic hasn’t done enough to warrant $4 million a year.
