On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Erik Erlendsson: Coach Jon Cooper ruled Jonathan Drouin out for tonight, but added that Drouin could take the morning skate and is listed as day-to-day.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Dan Murphy: Defenseman Alex Edler is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Matthew Sekeres: Defenseman Chris Tanev is 50-50 to play tonight. Could be less than that since he didn’t skate yesterday.

On the Arizona Coyotes …

Dave Vest: Coach Dave Tippett said that Martin Hanzal and Michael Stone didn’t travel with the team yesterday.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Bill Hoppe: Coach Dan Bylsma said that Evander Kane has skated for four days “quite hard, quite extensively.”

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jon Rosen: Coach Darryl Sutter said that Andy Andreoff, Brayden McNabb and Marian Gaborik are “all December guys.” All will be out for minimum of four weeks.

On the St. Louis Blues …

Andy Strickland: Roberto Bortuzzo is out with a lower-body injury, but will try to skate this weekend.

On the Dallas Stars …

Sean Shapiro: Jiri Hudler didn’t practice yesterday and is unlikely for this weekend.

On Karri Ramo …

Pierre LeBrun: Karri Ramo is recovering from knee surgery. The Maple Leafs have been helping Ramo with his rehab. His agent said that they will look at the whole NHL market when he’s cleared to return.

Chris Johnston: Ramo’s agent Todd Diamond said that he hasn’t received medical clearance to play yet.

Mark Masters: Leafs coach Mike Babcock said that Ramo practiced with the Leafs yesterday to give Frederik Andersen a break. Babcock isn’t sure if they will do that again.

On the Ottawa Senators …

Ian Mendes: Statement from the Ottawa Senators about not being able to play an outdoor game on Parliament Hill.

“Despite the hard work of the NHL and the Government of Canada over the past 18 months, the Ottawa Senators are disappointed for all Canadian hockey fans that we will not have the opportunity to witness an NHL Outdoor Game on Parliament Hil. To host a game on Parliament would have been iconic and historic and, in our view, the best way to cap off the year-long celebrations in 2017 to hour both the League’s Centennial and Canada’s 150.”
