  • Aaron Vickers: Flames GM Jay Feaster announces that Sean Monahan will stay in Calgary for the season. Sunaya Sapurji: The Flames will decide closer to the World Junior Championship if he’ll be allowed to go or not. Canada’s camp will start in mid-December. Adam Kimelman: Feaster on possibility of releasing Monahan for the WJC: “We’re a big believer … in the WJC and what they do for players.”
  •  Jonas Siegel: The Maple Leafs haven’t told Morgan Rielly if he’ll stay with the team beyond nine-games. He plays his ninth game tomorrow.
  • The Stats Guy: Martin Brodeur on Cory Schneider making his third straight start: “I think he’s in the net now to stay. I don’t think that’s going to change”
  • Katie Strang: Rangers Henrik Ludnqvist won’t be playing tonight. Cam Talbot will make his first NHL start. Andrew Gross: Jason Missiaen will backup Talbot.
  • Gord Miller: According to Elias, Sabres were to have four teenagers in the lineup, which is the first time since the Jets in 1996.
