Morning Hits: Regehr, Moore, Seidenberg, Competition Meetings, Flames and Wild
  • Dan Rosen: Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr is likely to play tonight.
  • Dan Rosen: Rangers John Moore is expected back in the lineup after serving his suspension. He was paired with Kevin Klein at practice yesterday.
  • Caryn Switaj of BostonBruins.com: Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg is still rehabbing from his knee injury, but expects to be 100 percent by training camp. He’s five months plus one week into his recovery that is expected to be six to eight months.

    “It would have been probably good enough to play eventually, but still working to get it where it should be, and I’m confident it will be by the time we get started.”

    “We would have had a couple of practices I think after Round 2 and then we would have seen how I’m doing, how I’m feeling, taking contact and battling a little bit harder, and then we would have gone from there,” said Seidenberg. “But there would have been a definite chance, yeah.”

  • John Shannon: The NHL Competition Committee will meet on Monday in New York. Players that will attend are: Mike Cammalleri, Ron Hainsey, Kevin Shattenkirk and Daniel Winnik. GMs and Owners who will attend are: David Poile, Don Maloney, Ken Holland, Peter Chiarelli, Ed Snider, as well as some league personnel.  The GMs will be meeting on Wednesday.
  • Calgary Flames: The Flames name Craig Conroy and Brad Pascall assistant GMs.
  • Minneosta Wild: Wild GM Chuck Fletcher said that Josh Harding is feeling better. Goal is have in be ready for training camp and play well. Niklas Backstrom’s rehab is going well. He feels better than at any part last year and should be putting on the pads sometime in July. Keith Ballard had sports hernia surgery after the season and is doing good.
