On the Tampa Bay Lightning … 

Joe Smith: Defenseman Anton Stralman is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Joe Smith: Coach Jon Cooper said Stralman would miss at least the first three games of their five game road trip.

Joe Smith: Cooper said that Jonathan Drouin‘s upper-body injury is progressing well. They hope he’s able to return at some point on their road trip.

On the Carolina Hurricanes …

Carolina Hurricanes: Coach Bill Peters said the Justin Faulk is day-to-day. They won’t rule Faulk out for tonight, but “there’s a real good chance” he returns to the lineup by Friday.

On the Florida Panthers …

Craig Davis: Forward Nick Bjugstad is travelling with the team but he hasn’t been cleared to play yet. He will miss at least their next two games.

George Richards: Forward Derek MacKenzie missed practice yesterday with an illness but should be able to go tonight.

On the Colorado Avalanche …

Mike Chambers: With forward A.J. Greer being reassigned, it means that either Matt Duchene and/or Blake Comeau are ready to return.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

Jon Rosen: Forward Anze Kopitar didn’t skate yesterday and it’s sounding like he’s still a ways away.

Inside SoCal Sports: Kopitar could miss his second consecutive game with an upper-body injury.

On the Calgary Flames …

Wes Gilbertson: Forward Kris Versteeg skated by himself before practice yesterday morning. He’s been out the past four games with a groin injury.

On the New Jersey Devils …

Andrew Gross: Defenseman Jon Merrill is travelling with the Devils but there is no timetable for the Devils to activate him off the IR.

On the Detroit Red Wings …

Ansar Khan: Forward Thomas Vanek said that he should be able to return from his hip injury when he comes off the LTIR on Sunday.

Ted Kulfan: Coach Jeff Blashill said that Niklas Kronwall won’t play tonight. They are just giving Kronwall some time off.

On the Philadelphia Flyers …

Dave Isaac: Forward Wayne Simmonds didn’t practice yesterday due to illness.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Joe Yerdon: Coach Dan Bylsma said that Dmitry Kulikov is day-to-day and won’t travel with the team to St. Louis.

Bill Hoppe: Ryan O’Reilly is day-to-day and hasn’t been ruled out for tonight.

On the Minnesota Wild …

Minnesota Wild: Forward Zach Parise said he’ll take the morning skate today and hopefully will be able to go tonight.

On the Winnipeg Jets …

Winnipeg Jets: Forward Kyle Connor was put on the IR with an upper-body injury and have recalled Chase De Leo.

On the San Jose Sharks …

Curtis Pashelka: Melker Karlsson‘s x-rays came back negative. He’s day-to-day, but unlikely for tonight.

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Jon Abbott: Jayson Megna is close to returning, a couple days away. Anton Rodin is close to returning as well. Erik Gudbranson was given a maintenance day yesterday.
