On the Chicago Blackhawks …

Brian Hedger: Forward Artem Anisimov is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Coach Joel Quenneville wouldn’t say why he was pulled from the game.

Mark Lazerus: Quenneville on Anisimov’s injury: “We don’t like talking about injuries. Not going to say what it was but I don’t think was part of it.”

Tracey Myers: They are uncertain right now if Anisimov will be able to play this weekend.

On the Buffalo Sabres …

Bill Hoppe: Forward Ryan O’Reilly is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

John Vogl: Hearing that Tyler Ennis‘ injury could keep him out for two to three weeks.

Ken Warren: Ennis is out with a ‘mid-body’ injury.

Bill Hoppe of Buffalo Hockey Beat: Center Jack Eichel met with doctors yesterday about his high ankle sprain. If all goes well, he could be able to get back on the ice soon.

“possibility of progressing in workouts,” Bylsma said.

“I don’t want to suggest that it’s going to be today, tomorrow or the next day that he’s getting on the ice,” he said. “He’s progressing quite nicely. He’s been working out at another level in the last four or five days and hopefully he continues to progress to getting to the ice soon.”

On the Minnesota Wild …

NHL.com: The Wild put defenseman Marco Scandella on the LTIR after he suffered a high ankle sprain during a game against the Sabres on October 27th.

On the Carolina Hurricanes …

Chip Alexander: Coach Bill Peters said that they should have an update on Justin Faulk‘s status on Sunday or Monday. Bryan Bickell missed practice and they are awaiting the results from his test.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Joe Smith: Coach Jon Cooper said that Jonathan Drouin continues to work out on his own. He’s making gradual progress, with no timetable on when he’ll be able to return to the lineup.

Joe Smith: Valtteri Filppula was back on the ice practicing yesterday after missing Monday’s game with a lower-body injury.

On the Calgary Flames …

Eric Francis: Forward Matthew Tkachuk left yesterday’s practice with a wrist injury.

On the Ottawa Senators …

Sens Communications: Forward Chris Neil missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

On the Edmonton Oilers …

Bob Stauffer: Gerry Fleming said on Oilers Now that Griffin Reinhart is getting his back checked out back in Edmonton.
