On the Florida Panthers …

Jameson Olive: Aleksander Barkov is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. More will be known today.

On the Los Angeles Kings …

John Hoven: The LA Kings activated forward Andy Andreoff off the IR.

On the Nashville Predators …

Thomas Willis: Forward Colton Sissons was given a maintenance day yesterday. Defenseman Ryan Ellis has been skating with the team but was not on the ice yesterday.

On the New York Islanders …

Arthur Staple: Defenseman Johnny Boychuk has a lingering injury that he felt again yesterday morning. Coach Doug Weight doesn’t think it’s a serious injury.

On the Pittsburgh Penguins …

Jason Mackey: Coach Mike Sullivan wasn’t able to put a timetable on Justin Schultz‘s return. The news isn’t great, and it is likely on the long-end of a week-to-week.

Jonathan Bombulie: Coach Sullivan said that Schultz’s lower-body injury would keep him out for “a couple of weeks.” At this time he doesn’t require surgery, and it’s not a potentially season-ending.

On the San Jose Sharks …

San Jose Sharks: Defenseman Paul Martin returned to the Sharks lineup last night.

On the St. Louis Blues …

St. Louis Blues: Goaltender Carter Hutton missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury. The Blues recalled Ville Husso on an emergency basis. Sammy Blais was assigned to the AHL.

On the Tampa Bay Lightning …

Bryan Burns: Coach Jon Cooper when asked if defenseman Braydon Coburn suffered a setback to his lower-body injury: “No, he’s plugging away, but some of these injuries, you’ve got to wait. It’s just going to take a little time.”

On the Vancouver Canucks …

Iain MacIntyre: Coach Travis Green on injured forward Bo Horvat: “Bo’s got a fractured foot. He’s seeing a specialist today. We don’t know a timeline for sure yet, but it’s going to be multiple weeks – probably up to six weeks.”

Irfaan Gaffar: Hearing that it will be closer to six weeks for Horvat.

Rick Dhaliwal: Having Bo Horvat and Brandon Sutter out at the same time is not good for the Canucks.

On the Washington Capitals …

Tom Gulitti: Coach Barry Trotz said that forward Andre Burakovsky would return to the lineup tonight after missing 20 games with a broken left thumb.
