Bruins injury updates

Boston Bruins: Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy giving injury updates.

On Torey Krug: “Was on his way to skate with us, but had flight issues. He’s back skating.”

On Kevan Miller: “Saw doctor. Will have further update on him when we get back . Definitely out tomorrow.”

On David Backes: “Returned home, not feeling well. He’ll have some tests done.”

On Charlie McAvoy: “I have nothing new, other than he’s going through a bunch of tests and hopefully we get news on him back home tomorrow.”

Jones to make season debut

Aaron Portzline: Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones was doing work with the power play units yesterday and looks like he will return to the lineup tonight.

Pettersson could travel with the team

TSN: Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson took part in their morning skate yesterday but remains in concussion protocol. He could join the team when they leave on their road trip.

Galchenyuk cleared

Arizona Coyotes: Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet on Alex Galchenyuk: “He’s been cleared, we’ll have a game-time decision.”

Bortuzzo returns to St. Louis

Scott Billeck: St. Louis Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo flew back to St. Louis for a doctors appointment about his lower-body injury.

Zajac day-to-day

Abbey Mastracco: Both Travis Zajac and Jesper Bratt skated. Defenseman Ben Lovejoy didn’t skate. Zajac and Lovejoy are both considered day-to-day.

Claesson out with an upper-body injury

Colin Stephenson: New York Rangers defenseman Freddie Claesson missed last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Radulov could return

Matthew DeFranks: Dallas Stars coach Jim Montgomery said that Alexander Radulov could return to the lineup tonight. Valeri Nichushkin will skate today but they still want him to get into a couple practices before returning.

MacKenzie needs surgery

Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers forward Derek MacKenzie will be out for a while as he needs to have shoulder surgery.

George Richards: Panthers defenseman Mark Pysyk didn’t practice with the team but was on the ice. He’s likely out tonight.

Raffl needed help off the ice

Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia: Philadelphia Flyers forward Michael Raffl needed help off the ice after being hit into the boards last night. He was not able to put any weight on his left leg.

The Flyers are said he wasn’t returning due to a lower-body injury.

Corban Knight and Mikhail Vorobyev are centers that can move over to the wing if Raffl is going to miss some time.
