Bruins injury updates

Bruins Daily: Boston Bruins forward Marcus Johansson could return tonight. He’ll be a game-time decision.

Boston Bruins: Defensemen Torey Krug, Matt Grzelcyk, and Kevan Miller won’t be in the lineup tonight.

Chris Wagner was given yesterday off and coach Bruce Cassidy said they “assume he’ll play tomorrow.”

Kreider out and Staal questionable

New York Rangers: Coach David Quinn said that forward Chris Kreider won’t play tonight and remains day-to-day.

Defenseman Marc Staal is questionable tonight with a lower-body injury.

Karlsson appears to be getting closer

Sheng Peng: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer didn’t rule defenseman Erik Karlsson out for all of this week. He will be out tonight. It’s sounding like Karlsson will return sooner than later.

Paul Gackle: Aside for not playing tonight, DeBoer wouldn’t commit to anything with regards to Karlsson’s status.

Kevin Kurz: Karlsson still isn’t practicing with the team.

Paul Gackle: Forward Joe Pavelski was out on the ice shooting pucks yesterday which is a good sign.

Gardiner skates again

Jonas Siegel: Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Gardiner was back on the ice skating yesterday.

Canucks injury updates

Ben Kuzma: Vancouver Canucks forward Tyler Motte left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Ben Kuzma: Canucks defenseman Guillaume Brisebois is day-to-day with a strained hip.

Forward Josh Leivo missed last night’s game with an illness.

Irfaan Gaffar: Canucks coach Travis Green said that after watching defenseman Quinn Hughes skate yesterday that he wants to get him into a couple of practices to get his conditioning back up before Quinn makes his NHL debut.
