Update on Krug and DeBrusk
Boston Bruins: Coach Bruce Cassidy said yesterday that defenseman Torey Krug was “not feeling great” and won’t be in the lineup tonight. He’s day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Jimmy Murphy: Source saying that Jake DeBrusk’s injury is “not as serious” as they once thought. He’s missed their past four games. The Bruins are playing things safe with him.
Not much of an update on Bogosian
Paul Hamilton: Buffalo Sabres coach Phil Housley would only say that defenseman Zach Bogosian is day-to-day and is still being evaluated.
Crawford leaves with an illness
Chicago Blackhawks: Goaltender Corey Crawford left last night’s game with an illness.
No timetable for Murray
Aaron Portzline: As of a few days ago Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Ryan Murray hadn’t started skating and there was no timetable on his return.
Lehner could return and Boychuk not skating
New York Islanders: Coach Barry Trotz yesterday on Robin Lehner and Johnny Boychuk: “Lehner is a possibility tomorrow if I get the ok. Boychuk still hasn’t skated. He’s day-to-day.”
Brian Heyman: Lehner yesterday when asked if he had headaches after the collision with Tkachuk: “It doesn’t really matter. I’m back now. I feel good. I’m 100 percent.”
Chabot breaks his toe
Brent Wallace: Ottawa Senators coach Marc Crawford said that defenseman Thomas Chabot is week-to-week with a broken toe. They are hopeful that he’ll be able to play again this season.
Kapanen has a concussion … Nothing on Gardiner … Dermott skating
Leafs PR: Toronto Maple Leafs forward Kasperi Kapanen is out with a concussion.
Paul Hendrick: There has been no update on defenseman Jake Gardiner. Travis Dermott is skating on his own with the first week of April a possibility.
Roussel done for the year … Quinn out at least week
Ben Kuzma: Vancouver Canucks head coach Travis Green said that forward Antoine Roussel will be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury from the Brendan Lemieux hit.
Quinn Hughes is wearing a walking boot and the MRI he had showed a “significant bone bruise” to his ankle. He will be re-evaluated in a week.
Ashton Sautner will have his lower-body injury re-evaluated today.
Blake Price: Hughes being out a week now won’t put the 10 games played mark in play.
Tyler Motte beats Lundqvist again right away for his 2nd of the game to make it a 3-0 #Canucks lead.
