Bruins say Charlie McAvoy had concussion symptoms, back skating now
Matt Porter: Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney said that defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been dealing with concussion symptoms. He’s been out since October 18th. He was able to skate yesterday.
Matt Porter: GM Sweeney said that defenseman Kevan Miller is about three weeks away from being able to return.
John Klingberg out at least four weeks after surgery
Sean Shapiro: Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg will be out for at least four weeks after having surgery on his hand.
Sean Shapiro: The Stars put Klingberg and Alexander Radulov on the IR. Radulov on the IR is retroactive to October 30th, so he can come off the IR at any point.
Sean Shapiro: Defenseman Marc Methot started practice yesterday but wasn’t able to finish.
John Carlson dealing with a lower-body injury
Tom Gulitti: Washington Capitals coach Todd Reirden said that they are hopeful that defenseman John Carlson (lower-body) injury will be able to play on Sunday. Reirden didn’t really say if Carlson was injured in Wednesday’s game or if it was a nagging injury.
Victor Hedman and Brayden Point able to practice
Erik Erlendsson: Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman was able to take part in full practice yesterday. Forward Brayden Point missed the last shift on Thursday, but he was able to practice.

Jim Thomas: St. Louis Blues defenseman Robert Bortuzzo is still not close to returning from his lower-body injury. He still hasn’t started skating yet.
Jamie McGinn has a long road back
Jameson Olive: Florida Panthers coach Bob Boughner said that forward Jamie McGinn has a tough road ahead of him as he rehabs from his back surgery. He’s been around the room lately: “It’s nice to have those glue guys around. It means a lot for the rest of the guys.”
