Coyotes injury updates

Dave Vest: Arizona Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet said that Richard Panik was still not able to go due to an illness. He missed Saturday’s game as well.

Craig Morgan of The Athletic: Forward Christian Dvorak is on a conditioning stint.

Defenseman Jason Demers skated in a no-contact jersey. He had knee surgery back in November.

Forward Michael Grabner skated in a no-contact jersey. He suffered an eye injury back on December 1st.

Goaltender Antti Raanta is expected to be out all season – at least for the regular season.

Cehlarik is day-to-day

Matt Porter: Boston Bruins Peter Cehlarik is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Okposo heading back to Buffalo

Paul Hamilton: The Buffalo Sabres have sent Kyle Okposo back to Buffalo for further evaluation.

Defenseman Marco Scandella is now listed as week-to-week.

Brodie and Neal out

Pat Steinberg: Calgary Flames defenseman T.J. Brodie (undisclosed) and forward James Neal (lower-body) missed yesterday’s game.

Staal sheds no-contact jersey

Michael Smith: Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Staal was on the ice wearing a regular jersey.

Bishop could return later this week

Mark Stepneski: Dallas Stars goaltender Ben Bishop is out tonight, questionable for Thursday, and is probable on Saturday.

Seabrook out with abdominal injury

Mark Lazerus: Chicago Blackhawks coach Jeremy Colliton doesn’t think that defenseman Brent Seabrook’s abdominal injury will be a long-term thing.

Puljujarvi out with a lower-body injury

Mark Spector: Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi out with a lower-body injury.

Mark Spector: The Oilers have put Puljujarvi and Jujhar Khaira on the IR and activated Andrej Sekera.

Hedman leaves early

Renaud Lavoie: Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman left last night’s game early with a lower-body injury.

Virtanen fractures rib … Edler and Demko skating

Brendan Batchelor: Vancouver Cancuks forward Jake Virtanen will be out a month with a fractured rib.

Defenseman Alex Edler and goaltender Thatcher Demko skated on their own yesterday. It doesn’t sound like they will be ready for Thursday.

Ben Kuzma: Virtanen’s rib was fractured from a Ryan Getzlaf hit last week.

Rick Dhaliwal: It’s possible that defenseman Chris Tanev is out a while.

Holden getting close

Vegas Golden Knights: Coach Gerald Gallant said the defenseman Nick Holden is getting close to returning.
