Injury updates on some Ducks

Josh Cooper: Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Kesler returned to the lineup last night. Ryan Getzlaf‘s groin injury isn’t as bad as they had first thought. Ducks GM Bob Murray said it’s possible that Getzlaf could return sometime next week.

Elliott Teaford: Ducks forward Ondrej Kase is still dealing with concussion symptoms but he is improving. Forward Patrick Eaves is progressing and it won’t be long.

Elliott Teaford: Kase is not skating yet so he’ll be out a while longer.

Crawford could be ready next week

Tracey Myers: Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford split time at practice yesterday with Anton Forsberg. Crawford could be ready to get the start next Thursday against the Coyotes.

Golden Knights gain a center but lose one

Jesse Granger: Vegas Golden Knights forward Cody Eakin returned to the lineup last night.

Jesse Granger: Golden Knights Paul Stastny is out with a lower-body injury and is “going to be out a little longer than we thought.” Coach Gerard Gallant said he’ll miss at least three games.

Edmundson could return tonight

Jeremy Rutherford: St. Louis Blue defenseman Joel Edmundson could return from his groin injury tonight if their morning skate goes well.

De La Rose gets clearance to practice

John Lu: The Montreal Canadiens have cleared Jacob De La Rose to start practicing. He’s still on the IR with his medical condition and is listed as day-to-day. When he gets clearance to return to the lineup, the Canadiens will have some roster decisions to make.

Patrick’s suffers an upper-body injury

Murray Pam: Philadelphia Flyers forward Nolan Patrick left last night’s game with an upper-body injury.

Sam Carchidi: The Flyers aren’t sure of Patrick’s status yet after he took a stick to the face.
