Perry skates with teammates

Elliotte Teaford of the OC Register: Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry skated with teammates yesterday in a no-contact jersey. He’s been skating for the eight to 10 days.

Perry had surgery to repair cartilage and a ligament back on September 26th.

There is no timetable on his return and there are still hurdles that will have to be cleared.

Injury updates on Ondrej Kase (upper body), Ryan Kesler (lower body) and Jakob Silfverberg (lower body) should come today.

No update on OEL

Craig Morgan: Arizona Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet didn’t have an update on defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson who suffered an upper-body injury. Tocchet said they should know more today.

Ferland leaves with an upper-body injury again

Michael Smith: Carolina Hurricanes forward Micheal Ferland left last night’s game with an upper-body injury. He originally suffered the upper-body injury on Sunday and he missed part of that game as well.

Michael Smith: Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour said that Ferland had tweaked something, which is good in that it is not a concussion.

Klefbom close

Jack Micheals: Edmonton Oilers defenseman Oscar Klefbom took part in their pregame skate yesterday. A good sign that he’ll be ready for after the All-Star break.

Stolarz could end conditioning stint early

Dave Isaac: Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Anthony Stolarz could be ending his conditioning stint early.

Blues could get some injured players back

Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The St. Louis Blues could get some players back before tonight’s game.

“Bozak’s a possibility and we’ll see on Sanford,” interim coach Craig Berube said. “We’ll see how Thomas does in practice.”

Bozak and Sanford have been out with a concussion, with Thomas out with a shoulder injury. The Blues may need to make a roster move as all are on the IR.

Vlasic playing wasn’t worth the risk

Paul Gackle: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said that if it were a playoff game defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic would have played. It wasn’t worth the risk. He should be 100 percent when they return from the All-Star break.

Carrier now injured and not ill

Ben Gotz: Vegas Golden Knights GM George McPhee said that William Carrier is “injured” and he remains on the IR.

David Schoen: When Carrier was put on the IR it was due to an illness.

David Schoen: Forward Reilly Smith practiced yet but he still hasn’t been cleared for contact.
