Ducks put two on the IR

Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Kesler was sent back to Anaheim to have his lower-body injury re-evaluated. He’s out for the rest of their trip.

Forward Jakob Silfverberg didn’t practice yesterday and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Eric Stephens: The Ducks have put forward Silfverberg and Kesler on the IR.

Elliott Teaford: Forward Patrick Eaves played a rehab game in the AHL last night: “It was good. I played with two great players, (Ben) Street and Chase De Leo. They made it easy on me tonight. It was fun to be a part of.”

Neal out with an illness

Wes Gilbertson: Calgary Flames forward James Neal missed last nights game with an illness. Defenseman Travis Hamonic missed it as well but with a family illness.

No update on Jones

Daniel Nugent-Bowman: The Edmonton Oilers didn’t have an update on Caleb Jones who took a big hit from Erik Gudbranson and didn’t finish the third.

Hayes won’t return this weekend

Colin Stephenson: New York Rangers forward Kevin Hayes was able to practice yesterday in a full-contact jersey.

Colin Stephenson: Rangers coach David Quinn said that Hayes won’t play tonight or on Saturday. No point of bringing him back for one game before they have their break.

Vlasic hoping to return soon

Paul Gackle: San Jose Sharks coach Pete DeBoer said that defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic is with the team and they are hopeful that he’ll be able to return before the All-Star weekend.

Pettersson hopeful for tomorrow

Vancouver Canucks: Forward Elias Pettersson wasn’t in the lineup last night but is hopeful for Friday: “I’m feeling better every day.”
