Two Ducks getting close

Eric Stephens: Anaheim Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm (lower-body) and Carter Rowney (upper-body) skated yesterday but weren’t ready to go last night. One or both could be ready to return to the lineup at some point on their road trip.

Valimaki out with a lower-body injury

Pat Steinberg: Calgary Flames defenseman Juuso Valimaki missed yesterday’s game and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Hagelin out with a knee issue

Stephen Whyno: The Los Angeles Kings said that forward Carl Hagelin will be out week-to-week with a sprained MCL. He will have an MRI on his knee today.

Turris to the IR

Paul Skrbina: The Nashville Predators have placed forward Kyle Turris on the IR and recalled forward Rocco Grimaldi.

Adam Vingan: Turris will miss at least their next three games.

Stralman to have an MRI … Palat is getting close

Erik Erlendsson: Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman wasn’t on the ice yesterday for practice. Forward Ondrej Palat was able to skate.

Erik Erlendsson: Stralman is to be re-evaluated. Coach Jon Cooper said that Stralman’s issue may be one that he’s able to get right back into the lineup if he gets cleared.

Erik Erlendsson: Palat is close to returning to the lineup and starting Tuesday he’ll be listed as day-to-day. Can expect him to return for at least one of their two games left on their homestand.
